The marks of time

Its 1364-metre-high peak offers spectacular views of other peaks in the Serra de Tramuntana mountains, in addition to panoramic views of the rest of the island and, on clear days, even neighbouring Minorca. The climb is definitely worth the effort!!

On its exposed peak, with barely any vegetation, you will find a survey point and a natural well, formed through karst erosion. A few metres further down, at a point known as P_la de Sa Neu_, a solitary yew tree can be seen, known as Es Teix de Massanella.

It is common to see native species like the black vulture, very probably the area’s most illustrious inhabitant, together with wild goats and a wide variety of native birds.
